Hello, this is Chicago Author Darrin Lowery. I want to take the time to welcome you to my spot on the World Wide Web. I have 13 books that I have written. Although I’m not a marquee author, I am deep in the streets and have a host of friends in the literary world.

In 2007 I received the Infini Award for Best Male Author. My books have a great deal of drama and adult content in them, so if you like a good story, check me out. This website has previews of many of my books. Also check out the reviews on amazon.com.

A little about me: I’m 40 years old and from the south side of Chicago. I went to grade school at Charles S. Brownell and Rudyard Kipling. I went to high school at Percy Julian and have a BA in Behavioral Science and a MS in Community Counseling. I went to college at National Louis University (NLU) in Chicago.

For over 15 years I have worked in social services. Helping people is my calling but writing and acting has become my passion.

Other quirks about me, I love, love, love Serena Williams and am a huge fan of Keyshia Cole (I also happen to think Keyshia is stunning!) I am a fan of R & B (old school love songs as well as Maxwell, Anthony Hamilton, and today’s Neo-Soul Artists). I am a fiend for House Music, and hobbies include photography, drawing and writing.

Like a lot of us, I am constantly battling my weight. My weight fluxuates between 214 (my current weight) and 315. That’s nothing to brag about, but I like to keep things real with my readers. If I had to guess, I would say my fan base is around 14,000 readers nationwide which is nothing compared to my favorite author who is Eric Jerome Dickey.
